North Green Association‘s initiative within the #GreenAL project is titled “Erzeni Thërret.” The initiative’s main goals were to increase community awareness near river buffer zones as well the aerial documentation of the contamination of this area.

This project is implemented within the Green-AL program, financed by the Swedish International Cooperation and Development Agency (Sida) funds and implemented by Co-PLAN, Institute for Habitat Development in cooperation with CISP Sviluppo dei Popoli, VIS Albania and COSV – Cooperazione per lo Sviluppo.

 

DESCRIPTION

Responsability: Lack of good waste management, and river pollution.

Colaboration: Lack of cooperation of the main actors

Activism and awareness; The indifference of community of the environment situation when they live, and the bad waste management by the Municipalities of Tirana, Shijak and Durrës.

 

OUR ACTIVITIES

ADVOCATE^LOBBY

The principal objective is to be responsible all actors, Local Government, community, private sector for the situation, with advocate an lobby to make possible one solution.  We organized round table with all principal actors and meet face-face in the terrain the citizens  and private sectors living/wroking near the Erzeni Basin.

 

CREATE A INFO. FOLDER

The information folder, collecting data on the site, scientific research “Articles” (articles), info-graphics, multimedia products “short clips” will be published on various websites, social networks, portals, televisions and local newspapers to promote public debate.

 

DRAFT RECOMANDATION

We create an document with all information about the hot-spots pollution at Erzeni River from the source to the sea. This document inform all actors about the real situation of the Erzeni river pollution. During the round table with main actors (Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Local Government and the National Inspectorate of Territory and the National Evinronment Agency) was spoken about the situation and how is the strategy to have less pollution in the Erzeni Basin.
